What usually motivates us to make a change in our routine? Most of us, take a step in a new direction because we see the end of the current path near. Another reason, we feel that the current state no longer serves our purpose in life. Either way, we feel the season is over. All of us go through it, let it be a career transition, geographical move, new baby or the loss of a dear family member, graduating from college, etc.
So what do we do…We make the change! I know, change can be scary. But understand, not thriving is so much worse.
Ayesha Curry (wife, mommy, blogger, author,…) found herself at a crossroad. We can learn a lot from her experience. See the quote from the below sited article:
Ayesha shared, “After having my daughter, I kind of made a career change, and so I was trying to figure out what I wanted to do where I could be home with her and still have something for myself…
…So I decided to start the blog [“Little Lights Of Mine“] just as a place where I could share all of my recipes, because that’s what I do, I love to cook. I figured, why not try and make a career out of it?” To read or view the full article click here.
What to pull from Ayesha’s life decision:
- Take the time to dream about the next step
- Be yourself
- Incorporate important priorities
- List current talents/gifts/abilities
- DO IT!
The time is now! We do not have time to second guess who we are and what we are capable of accomplishing. BE INTENTIONAL!!!
