In a previous post, the song, Graves into Gardens was shared. Here is, Psalm 30 (specifically verse 11), one of the Bible scriptures that is referenced in this song when it states, “He turns mourning to dancing”. God bless you.
I will extol You, O Lord, for You have lifted me up, And have not let my foes rejoice over me. O Lord my God, I cried out to You, And You healed me. O Lord, You brought my soul up from the grave; You have kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit. Sing praise to the Lord, you saints of His, And give thanks at the remembrance of His holy name. For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; Weeping may endure for a night, But joy comes in the morning. Now in my prosperity I said, “I shall never be moved.” Lord, by Your favor You have made my mountain stand strong; You hid Your face, and I was troubled. I cried out to You, O Lord; And to the Lord I made supplication: “What profit is there in my blood, When I go down to the pit? Will the dust praise You? Will it declare Your truth? Hear, O Lord, and have mercy on me; Lord , be my helper!” You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; You have put off my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness, To the end that my glory may sing praise to You and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks to You forever. Psalm 30
We were super excited, this morning! We are witnessing some of our plants poking out of the soil. WOW! It is a beautiful feeling to experience the beginning sight of our garden coming together. Take a look at some of them in the following photos. They are super small so some I magnified.
Our seeds are coming along and our zucchini and strawberry plants are doing well after the couple of days of chilly nights. We will keep you posted on the progress of our garden.
Good morning. I hope this strengthens you today. God bless you.
Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty. This I declare about the Lord: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; he is my God, and I trust him. For he will rescue you from every trap and protect you from deadly disease. He will cover you with his feathers. He will shelter you with his wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection. Do not be afraid of the terrors of the night, nor the arrow that flies in the day. Do not dread the disease that stalks in darkness, nor the disaster that strikes at midday. Though a thousand fall at your side, though ten thousand are dying around you, these evils will not touch you. Just open your eyes, and see how the wicked are punished. If you make the Lord your refuge, if you make the Most High your shelter, no evil will conquer you; no plague will come near your home. For he will order his angels to protect you wherever you go. They will hold you up with their hands so you won’t even hurt your foot on a stone. You will trample upon lions and cobras; you will crush fierce lions and serpents under your feet! The Lord says, “I will rescue those who love me. I will protect those who trust in my name. When they call on me, I will answer; I will be with them in trouble. I will rescue and honor them. I will reward them with a long life and give them my salvation.” Psalm 91:1-16
We’ve had a couple of chilly nights and I thought it would be a good idea to keep our seedlings safe. We installed a hoop structure into our garden. Once the weather maintains higher temperatures, we will transition from frost protection to guarding our crops from various animals. The hoops make this shift very easy.
Garden Blanket & Staples
PVC pipes (3/4” x 10’)
Rebar (1/2” x 1’)
Here are a couple of useful videos on how to place hoops in your garden for various types of protection (from pests, birds, deer, frost, etc.).
